We have a rottie/lab mix (Vinnie) we adopted from the shelter when we lived in Montana. We made an impulsive decision to purchase him as a playmate for Vinnie. Our 5 children, their sports & school activities keep us very busy. We have not given Reggie the attention, training or nurturing that he deserves. He chews on everything, doesn't listen and essentially acts like a dog with no training - because he's had none. He is very well tempermented with the children and us, never showing signs of aggression or malcontent. Nonetheless, we are not able to provide him with the proper care he deserves. He is still very playful-hyper. He chews on everything, but that is from boredom. He seems like he wants to please and is affectionate with us, but he's also near 90 pounds, so he's overwhelming. Reggie is friendly and wants to greet every new person with a big lick to the face or whatever area is closest to his face! Loves children and wants to play all the time....even with other dogs with proper introduction. We introduced him to a small dog and the meet did not go well, so definitely no small dogs or cats and other dogs on a one to one basis. He is a pleaser, but doesn't know what we expect from him....needs an owner that will love him back! December 10, xxxx, 1:16 am
